What are the differences between Nano Brows and Microblading?
Nano Brows is an advanced technique that creates ultra-realistic, hair-like strokes for natural-looking eyebrows. Unlike microblading, which involves cutting into the skin, Nano Brows uses a machine-based method that minimizes trauma, reduces scarring risks, and delivers longer-lasting results. With precise strokes and customized color blending, Nano Brows offers a safer, more refined option for beautiful brows.

NANO BROWS | MICROBLADING |
Uses a single needle with a machine gently deposit ink in tiny dots to create realistic hair-like strokes. | Manually slice the skin open with a blade and scrub ink into the cuts to create hair-like strokes. |
No trauma, no cutting, no scarring. | High trauma, with potential for scarring. |
Lasts 3+ years with proper care. | Fades faster, typically lasts 6-12 months. |
Suitable for all skin types, including oily skin. | Only work with dry to normal skin. |
Heals true to tone and maintain the strokes appearance. | Strokes heal blurred and turn into un-esthetic colors. |
Touch-ups needed every 3 years. | Requires touch-ups more frequently, often 6-12 months. |
True Tone Healing & Why You Don’t Want PMU to Be Truly Permanent
At Advanced Ink, I believe permanent makeup should enhance your natural beauty while giving you the freedom to evolve over time.
That’s why every pigment I use is carefully selected and expertly implanted to heal true-to-tone without the risk of future discoloration, unwanted ashiness, or being “stuck” with results that no longer match your face or style.
✦ WHY YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PMU TO BE TRULY PERMANENT
Although it’s called “permanent makeup,” you shouldn’t want it to be actually permanent — and here’s why:
• Your face changes with age. What suits your features now may not be flattering in 10 years.
• Trends and preferences change. Styles evolve, and so should your look.
• Pigments naturally fade and shift. Especially those containing carbon black.
• Permanent pigment is harder to remove. Laser or saline removal can be expensive and not always complete.
• Safety concerns. Older pigments may interfere with MRIs or cause allergic reactions.
That’s why I focus on semi-permanent results - long-lasting, beautiful, but adaptable over time.
✦ PREMIUM INKS YOU CAN TRUST
I choose and trust Biotek, a top-tier pigment brand that meets the strictest EU REACH regulations - known worldwide for their safety standards.
These pigments are:
• Non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free
• Free from carcinogens and heavy metals
• FDA & EU certified
• Produced with pharmaceutical-grade materials under ISO 9001 and GMP
With over 10 years of experience and continued training, I implant pigment at the ideal skin depth to ensure:
• Even healing
• Smooth, natural fade-out
• No blotchy, over-saturated or gray results
I never use pure organic pigments on their own - they’re too prone to cooling over time. Instead, I use hybrid pigments that lean more inorganic than organic for the base for stability. Then, I finish the brows with darker shades of inorganic pigment to add realistic depth and contrast.
Hybrid pigments may still contain a small amount of carbon black, especially in dark tones and carbon black is known to heal gray or ashy, particularly in certain skin types. To prevent that, I strictly use inorganic pigments for darker areas to keep results clean, soft, and neutral over time.
While inorganic pigments may fade a bit quicker than organics, they offer a cleaner, more natural fade and that’s exactly what I prioritize.
• Metabolized naturally: Your liver and immune system clear them safely
• Larger particle size: Makes them easier to fade, less risk of buildup
• Redox stability: Breaks down cleaner during natural body processes
• Transferrin binding: Helps the body transport and eliminate pigment
• Warmer fade: Slightly warms over time rather than turning cool or gray
By combining the right pigments with precise technique, I ensure that your permanent makeup looks beautiful fresh and even better as it fades.
Why Choosing the Right PMU Artist Matters
Permanent makeup is an investment, not just in beauty, but in your skin’s health and long-term results. Choosing the right artist isn’t just important, it’s crucial.
When done correctly, PMU enhances your features with soft, natural, and balanced results that age gracefully with you. But when done poorly, it can lead to asymmetry, discoloration, scarring, and regret.
Removals are not easy. They’re expensive, time-consuming, and often painful. It typically takes multiple sessions over months to lift unwanted pigment — and even then, results aren't guaranteed. Worse yet, once the skin has been damaged or altered, it’s no longer in its virgin state. This can make it significantly harder for new work to heal well or look clean and crisp.
That’s why it's important to choose an artist who:
• Has deep knowledge of skin anatomy and color theory
• Works with the highest-quality, safety-tested pigments
• Prioritizes technique, precision, and long-term results
• Provides transparent, realistic expectations
At Advanced Ink, I don’t just perform a treatment, I craft it with intention. Every decision I make is based on long-term skin health, fade behavior, and your personal aesthetic goals. Your face deserves nothing less than thoughtful, expert care from someone who understands the responsibility that comes with a tattoo - especially one that lives on your face.
When it comes to PMU, do it right the first time. Your future self will thank you.
